Duntroon School room 4 Bug Hunt

Duntroon school room 4 learning about compost as part of their 5 + a day unit. Last week we talked about the main elements that broke down a compost, bacteria and fungi. This week we talked about the insects that help out too and we went on a bug hunt.
To everyone's surprise so many bugs were found.

Digging in the compost we found huge slaters, centipedes, earwigs, pillbugs and beetles
